Bag Carrying Robot

For our final project in Robotics, Mary Fletcher, Ben Borchard, Philip Prosapio and I worked together to program an ATRV-Sr robot to function as a bag carrying mule.

My primary responsibility was in planning and coding the social interactions of the robot. The robot greets passerby’s with one of four voices. It asks whether the person would like to have their bag carried and gives instructions that will help guide the robot. The robot makes jokes while it walks to keep the person conscious that they are guiding a large robot and politely says goodbye when they have reached their destination.
